Just wanted to drop a note about our last tent wedding and how exciting it was! Many potential photo boothers ask if they can use the booth outdoors or at their tent wedding. The short answer is Yes! The photo booth works very well in outdoor environments, and our last wedding proves it! We’ve used the booth in wedding tents before, but this is the first time one has been tested to this extent. A massive thunderstorm hit the wedding location about half way through the night and forced everyone inside the tents. High winds and an incredible downpour weren’t enough to deter the guests, though; they kept dancing even though many had gotten soaked outside or standing near the edge of the open-air tents. It was great to have the photo booth available during this time since it gave the non-dancers another option for entertainment. We purposely build our booths a couple inches above ground level, so even though water was rushing literally over the top of our attendants’ feet, the booth stayed dry and functioned nonstop throughout the night. Even the Dj had to stop a couple times! Because of the chance of storms like this one, we do require cover for the photo booth throughout the night. The cover can be a picnic shelter, a large tent, a garage or barn. If you aren’t sure if your coverage works, call or email us and we will let you know. We bring extension cords if power isn’t close by, but keep in mind where your guests will be walking – generally the closer the photo booth is to a power source the better, so you don’t have to worry about where the cord is running. The only power needed is a standard 110 volt outlet. Many other companies will not allow their booths this close to the elements, so be sure to check if you are renting a photo booth for your event.
